The five hundred pubs vary enormously in style, history and personality and include not just Michelin award-winners but also other local favorites which deserve to be better known. Some chefs and landlords see themselves as a part of a new "gastro pub revolution", others are proud that their place has stayed unchanged for decades, even centuries, yet all of the pubs provide good food in enjoyable surroundings, and all of them make a really good meal out. Michelin’s readers contribute thousands of letters and e-m ails every year, commenting on hotels and restaurants throughout the country. We hope you’ll do the same for this new pub guide and help us to make the next edition even better than the first.
